In 1917 Kōnan was commissioned to produce a set of tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa) prints for an Imperial Exhibition. Later (i.e., 1923-25) these prints were published in a picture book entitled Shōkei Kaki Chō (i.e., A Book of Flower Shapes and Forms). Twenty prints from this book are shown here.
